The Editors
Matthew Crampton, a Londoner, and David Peutherer, a Glaswegian, are regular visitors to The Angler’s Retreat. Both owe much of their fishing ability, limited though it be, to the robust instruction of Billy Felton; and owe some of their waistlines, unlimited though they be, to the fine and abundant cooking of Marion Felton.
The Hosts
Billy Felton, from East London, and his wife Marion, from Essex, set up The Angler’s Retreat on South Uist after Billy retired as a Sergeant Major in the Royal Artillery. Perhaps the only Cockney crofter in Scotland, Billy is famed as a ghillie, while Marion’s prowess in the kitchen is applauded by their many visitors each year.

The Contributors
The usual suspects to be found at any popular fishing spot, this disparate crew is linked by a love of fly fishing for wild trout and salmon in remote places - not to mention regular immersion in the warmth and humour of The Angler’s Retreat.
